Upgrading your Toshiba Computer

Okay, you own a Toshiba computer, which you love but you are now experiencing slow operation, error messages, and program crashes, all resulting from low memory.  Instead of going out and buying a new computer, you can simply upgrade the memory. Let us say you have a Satellite computer. You love it but the work you do has changed, requiring a much more robusthard drive. With Satellite memory, upgrades can be made to any of the Satellite models available. In the case of the Satellite 1130 model, the original storage capacity is 256 or 512 megabytes of removable storage. However, to boost your system’s performance, additional memory can be added, bringing the total memory to one gigabyte.

Another popular Toshiba computer is the Pocket, which is also made by some of the top competitors. This PDA system is small, affordable, and very reliable. This too can be upgraded simply by using Pocket memory. The Tecra is one of the older models sold by Toshiba, which is why so many upgrade options are available. As with the Tecra 8000, you would have 64 or 128 megabytes of removable storage. However, options for more Tecra memory include a system with two sockets, providing up to 256 megabytes. Just remember, purchase the highest capacity your computer can accommodate for the best performance. Other brands can be upgraded as well.  Therefore, you could check out Apollo memory from Dell or DeskPro memory from Compaq as other excellent options.
